December 1999 topic: Emigration to America
message: We are currently involved in a project with a school in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina in which we are endeavouring to trace families who left Ireland during the Great Famine and settled in that area. We would like contact with people who have Irish connections in North Carolina. We hope to publish our findings on a specially designed website (shared by the two schools) specially for the project. We may also have  a facility for posting messages on the subject on the site. In the meantime a report on our endeavours can be viewed at - http://homepage.eircom.net/~foregan - in the projects section.

topic: traditional games

I have bee researching traditional games and sports from many countries for more than 5 years.
Please tell me how I can contact some school
or association that can help me with more information about "road bowling" - its rules and where I could order the iron balls used in this game.
In a few months I will get my degree in Education - emphasis in 0-6 years old children. Researching sports is my hobbie.
 Thank you very much.
